First Edition: Frugal, Fancy, Friday!

Hey y’all! Here for the first edition of triple F, Frugal, Fancy, Friday, I have a new dress purchased on my first trip to Buffalo Exchange in Austin. The store itself was one of the largest of the chain I’ve been to so far. Excellent selection of tops and dresses. Meh shoe selection.

This striped linen dress is originally from Madewell, purchased from Buffalo Exchange for $23. I thought this price was excellent as dresses at Madewell retail for around $98 and up. The shoes selected for the dress down look are made by Superga, purchased for $25 which retail on their site for $80. I threw on my J.Crew Factory Outlet trusty jean jacket purchased years ago at the outlets in Freeport, Maine for around $40. Despite the heat in Austin, I need to bring a jacket along everywhere because there is also extreme air conditioning. The sunglasses are a pair of cheapies, purchased for $20 at a shop on South Congress.

The slightly dressed up look includes a pair of Tom’s wedges. I cannot remember where I bought them, either Buffalo Exchange or TJ Maxx, but they were under $30. I don’t like to spend a lot on wedges since they aren’t worn too frequently. I’d heard good things about the Tom’s, so I gave them a try. They are pretty comfy and normally retail around $80, so I thought they were a decent buy. I added the necklace which I bought many moons ago in college for $24. Similar “statement” necklaces can be found at J.Crew Factory Outlet online. When on-sale they are typically under $25. I don’t own many, but one or two is useful for dress up, going out or interview purposes.

That’s all for now! Stay tuned next week for a special bachelorette edition!
